About us

01 / About us

A travel blog that plans like an agency

We write guides for people who want a real route, a real budget and no filler. Every page here is meant to be used on the road, not just read.

02 / Our story

Why Postcard Pending

Most travel pages tell you what is beautiful. Few tell you how long it takes, what it costs and what to skip. We started Postcard Pending to write the second kind.

The name comes from a simple idea: the best trips are planned well enough that you have time to sit down and write a postcard. Our guides cover four places so far, and each one follows the same shape: why go, the route by day, the best months and the budget.

03 / Principles

What we hold to

01

Tested routes

A guide is written after the trip, not before it. If we haven’t been there, it isn’t on the page.

02

Honest budgets

Prices are per person and say what they cover. Big extras are listed separately, never hidden.

03

Slow over full

Fewer stops, more time in each. We would rather cut a sight than rush you past three.

04

Your dates first

Every itinerary is split by day, so it bends to the time you have instead of the other way round.

04 / How we work

From idea to itinerary

Step 1

Pick a place

Start with one of our location guides and see the route, the season and the budget at a glance.

Step 2

Tell us your dates

Write to us with how many days you have and who is travelling. We reply within two working days.

Step 3

Shape the route

We suggest what to keep, what to cut and what to book early, so the plan fits your trip.

Have a place in mind?

Send us your dates and we’ll help you turn it into a route.
